The Hero Program
Home Energy Rebate Option (HERO). This program is offered by the State Of Louisiana. and is geared to making your home more efficient. It consist of an initial energy audit done by a State Certified auditor. This person will then tell you based upon which improvements you want to do, how much of a rebate you will get. If you get a preliminary and follow-up energy audit, and install a top of the line Geo Thermal Water Source system, you most likely will qualify for a $3000 rebate from the state.
More than that, you will learn a variety of energy efficiency evaluations that can quantifiably save you money. Here is the link to the Louisiana Department of

On the site, you'll see all the rules and regulations. Also, there is a link along the left side of the site that you can get a list of local
residential HERO Raters. All the paperwork is done by the Rater. There is a cost for the audits, when you talk with the raters you can get an
